It is our goal to serve our consumers by providing them with the best services tailored to meet their needs so that they can learn, grow, and gain the skills they need to live as independently as possible. Independent living should not merely be defined in terms of living on one’s own, being employed in a job fitting one’s capabilities and interests or having an active social life. Independent living has to do with self-determination, having the right an opportunity to pursue a course of action and its having the freedom to fail and learn from one’s own failures just as non-disabled people do.
