ILS Educator
Wages: $17.50-$19 (Based on education and/or experience)

Position Description: Great opportunity to work with an established agency, providing much needed independent living skills for the developmentally disabled within the East Los Angeles Regional Center (Alhambra, Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, etc.). Work part time or full time depending on your availability.
As an Independent Living Skills Educator, your duties will be to teach independent living skills to adults with developmental disabilities. You will be assigned a workload that may consist of 1 to 4 consumers with each consumer requiring 20 to 40 hours a month with assistance. You will be responsible for setting meeting times and ensuring that the consumer hours are met monthly. You will be required to travel to consumer homes to assist with needs ranging from socialization skills and self-care to vocational and leisure exploration. Work hours are flexible as you will be the one setting your own schedule which is ideal for college students who are working towards a degree in psychology/special education or a related field. Your schedule must be compatible with your consumer & availability.
Qualifications for Independent Living Skills:
Able to Work Independently
Organized/Professional/Responsible
Bilingual English/Spanish/Chinese Helpful
Regional Center Experience Is A PLUS!
Some College/AA Degree/Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Independent Living Skills Requirements:
Valid California Driver License
Reliable Vehicle and Valid Auto Insurance
Pass Criminal Background Check (No Misdemeanors or Felonies)
Live Scan Background Check

Position Description: As a Program Supervisor, your duties will be to teach Independent Living Skills to the Educator assisting adults with developmental disabilities. You will be assigned a workload that may consist of 20 to 30 consumers with each consumer requiring 20 to 40 hours per month of assistance. You will be required to provide guidance and assistance to ILS Educator for setting meeting times and ensuring that allocated independent living skills hours are met monthly. This opportunity will require you to conduct house visit to ensure quality of service are met to expectations,
Qualifications for Independent Living Skills:
Valid CA Driver’s License and a Good driving record
Reliable Auto & Valid Insurance
